About the Owner of CFS

I am a mother of a child on the autism spectrum which enables me to fully understand the community I serve. With lots of love and passion I do not only advocate for my son but for the entire special needs community. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and a minor in Psychology. I worked as an elementary school teacher for 10 years and then moved on and graduated with a masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.

I have been serving on the Regional Center Vendor committee as a Board member now for a second term. This  position includes once a month meetings with the Board where I presented feed backs, facts and information to many vendors in this field. In this role I was also accessible to the public to receive inputs and questions.

I had the privilege to serve at the administrative board where all financial reports and the approvals of important agenda matters have being voted on.

Recently, I started my second term on the legislator committee. I was accepted 2 years in a row to fly to Sacramento and represent the needs of our special need community to Senators and the assembly members. Now I’m currently on my second term on the consumer service committee and the Government and Community Relations Committee.

Our staff and their training

At the end of the day, the care provider who will be assigned to your home is the most crucial component. CFS’s owner personally oversees each and every interview with new staff members and the entire process to ensure that specific care provider will be the perfect match for your specific needs.

Further our staff undergoes ongoing training and further schooling/ instruction according to the standards we set ourselves. This takes place to ensure that you will receive the best care to your satisfaction.

The job of our staff is to support your family in your every day tasks. According to the type of care you need for your loved one, those tasks may vary. Our care providers are very well trained and their support may include but is not limited to the following rules and tasks towards the person in need:

Safety of the needy person is our # 1 priority

Engaging in fun, educational and appropriate activities such as art, games, reading, music.

Support of fundamental hygiene (toileting, bathing, potty training)

Friendly, compassionate companionship

Socializing (we will not tolerate care providers being on their cell phones and not being attentive)

ABA routing keep the same protocols so everyone is on the same page

Light meal preparation
